Your Hotel: Oulton Hall – Leeds
This stunning four star hotel is an impressive 18th Century country manor house, just five miles from the centre of Leeds. The public rooms reflect the building’s heritage with decoration to match, including impressive chandeliers and sweeping staircases. There is a choice of elegant suites in the historic Hall and contemporary bedrooms in the modern wing, all superbly appointed with modern amenities. Oulton Hall offer a choice of dining options from Afternoon Tea in the Drawing Room to AA Rosette dining in the Calvery Grill. The 300 acre beautifully landscaped gardens, contain the excellent 27-hole golf course that provides a good test for golfers of all abilities and the Golf Academy is rated as one of the best in the North of England. There is also a superb Health Club with indoor pool, state of the art Technogym, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna plus a relaxing Spa that offers a wide range of treatments.
Christmas Eve (D)
Arrive at leisure and enjoy a welcoming drink of hot mulled wine. After settling in, Oulton Hall’s renowned Afternoon Tea will be served by their Butlers in the Drawing Room.
Your evening begins with Carols in the Great Hall, the perfect setting for a magical experience. The seasonal atmosphere continues with a sumptuous 4-course dinner, specially created by the Chef after which you can prepare for Midnight Mass at one of the nearby churches. Finish the day with a wee dram in the Champagne Bar.
Christmas Day (B/L/D)
Christmas Day has a leisurely start with Breakfast served until 10.00am giving you plenty of time for the opening of presents before the highlight of your stay – a traditional Christmas Day Lunch served in the delightful Calverley Grill. Adults receive a complimentary glass of Bucks Fizz to get you in the mood with light entertainment adding to the festive atmosphere.
After lunch retire to the lounge to watch the Queen’s Speech on TV with Christmas Cake and light refreshments.
If you have any room left, the day rounds off with a leisurely buffet meal before Christmas Movies or a Festive Quiz.
Boxing Day (B/D)
After Breakfast, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy if you are staying, which we heartily recommend. Relax in the Health Club, take in a round of golf on the excellent hotel course or just chill out in the marvelous surroundings.
In the evening the Black Tie Gala Dinner starts with an elegant drinks reception, followed by a delicious Dinner in the Oulton Suite. A live band and DJ will keep the entertainment going until late.
27th December (B)
Your fabulous festive break ends with a hearty breakfast and a final chance to drink in the magnificence of this stunning hotel. Afterwards you can take a trip into nearby Leeds to pick up some bargains in the sales.
Golf at Oulton Hall
The course at Oulton Hall was designed by Dave Thomas and provides golfers with 27 holes of great golf. The 9-hole course provides a great test for beginners or those looking to warm up for the full 18-hole course. Set in the stunning countryside, the Oulton Hall Golf Course features many hazards including strategically placed bunkers, making for an exciting challenge. Your Christmas break is an ideal time to try it out and tee-times can be arranged at the time of booking at extra cost.
